DAILY ADMISSION
Admission charge is $5 per person per day.
Beginning at 3p.m. each day, admission is $3 per person.
WATER SLIDE ADMISSION
Swan Lake and Bel-Aire Swimming Pools each have a 100-foot water slide. Daily water slide passes are $2 per person and is not included with a pool pass. Water slide passes are available at the Parks & Recreation office or at either pool for $20 per person for the summer.
Beachaven, New Providence and Smith Pools close August 2nd.
Bel-Aire & Swan Lake Pools close

Pool Passes On sale May 11th
Pool passes are priced based on the number of people you have on your pass. You are no longer required to show proof of relation or birth certificates to include additional passholders on the same pass. A non-resident fee of 10% will be added to the season passes for those living outside the Clarksville city limits. Utility bills must be provided as proof of residence. Non-residents
cannot be added to a city resident’s pool pass.

POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
ALL PERSONS MUST ABIDE BY INSTRUCTIONS OF THE GUARDS.
1. No person shall be permitted on the pool deck wearing street shoes.
2. No person shall be permitted to change clothes in the pool area.
3. Swimsuits are required in fenced area by all patrons. Everyone pays admission.
4. Infants/toddlers are required to wear elasticized rubber pants or swim diapers.
5. No person shall be permitted in the pool with bandages, open sores, or wounds.
6. Smoking, eating, drinking shall be permitted only in designated areas.
7. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES shall be permitted under any circumstances.
8. No running, pushing, dunking, or horseplay such as spitting water or splashing shall be allowed.
9. No person shall spit on deck, sit on ropes, or use profane language.
10. Equipment such as automobile inner tubes, large floats, rubber plastic ball, which may be a hazard to bathers are restricted from the pool. Small play tubes may be used if they do not interfere with other bathers.
11. Talking to guards while they are on duty shall not be allowed.
12. Neither the pool personnel nor the Recreation Department shall be responsible for lost or stolen articles.
13. Rain checks may be given to patrons in the pool for 1 hour or less time due to inclement weather.
14. Only children 10 and older, who can swim, may be left at the pools without an adult. All children 9 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
15. Any bags carried into the pool area are subject to search.
16. No outside food or drink allowed.
Swimming Lessons
We offer five comprehensive course levels that teach you, your child or other family
member how to swim skillfully and safely. The prerequisite for each level is the successful
demonstration of the skills from the preceding level, except for Level I, which has no
prerequisite. Lessons are $15 per session with a pool pass and $35 without a pool pass.
Mommy/Daddy and Me classes
Moms and Dads experience the pool with their child for the first time. No skills required. Ages 0-4
Pre-School Swim Lessons (New this year!) Ages 4-5
Adult Swim Lessons (New this year!) Ages 18 and Older
Level I: Introduction to Water Skills
Enter and exit water safely; Submerge mouth, nose, and eyes; Exhale underwater through mouth and nose; Open eyes underwater, pick up submerged object; Float on front and back; Explore arm
and hand movements; Swim on front and back using arm and leg actions; Follow basic water safety rules; Use a life jacket.
Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Enter water by stepping or jumping from the side; Exit water safely using ladder or side; Submerge entire head; open eyes underwater, Pick up a submerged object; Float on front and back; Perform front and back glide; Roll over from front to back, back to front; Tread water using arm and leg motions; Swim on front and back using combined strokes; Swim on side; Move in water while wearing a life jacket.
Level 3: Stroke Development
Jump into deep water from the side; Dive from kneeling or standing position; Submerge and retrieve an object; Bob with head fully submerged; Use rotary breathing in horizontal position; Perform front and back glide; Perform survival float; Change from horizontal to vertical position on front and back; Perform front and back crawl; Butterfly-kick and body motion; Perform the HELP and Huddle
position; Perform a reaching assist; Use Check-Call-Care in an emergency.
Level 4: Stroke Improvement
Perform shallow dive or dive from stride position; Swim underwater; Perform feet-first surface dive; Perform open turns on front and back using any stroke; Tread water using sculling arm motions and kick; Perform the following: Front and back crawl, Breaststroke, Butterfly, Elementary backstroke, Swim on side using scissors-like kick; Use safe diving rules; Perform compact jump into water from a height while wearing a life jacket; perform a throwing assist; care for conscious choking victim.
Level 5: Stroke Refinement
Tread water with two different kicks; Learn survival swimming; Perform rescue breathing; Perform the following: Standing dive, Shallow dive, Glide two body lengths and begin any front stroke, Tuck surface dive, Pike surface dive, Front flip turn, Backstroke flip turn, Front and back crawl, Butterfly, Breaststroke, Elementary breaststroke, Sidestroke
