Join us Friday, July 3 at McGregor Park for the annual Independence Day Celebration. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with the posting of our nation’s colors by the Clarksville Fire and Police Honor Guard and will conclude with a spectacular fireworks finale later in the evening. This year’s festivities include entertainment by Traci Koon, Diana Pelham, The Groove Fellas and The 198th Army Band. In addition to musical entertainment there will also be food, children’s activities, and Clarksville’s largest fireworks display. This year’s display will feature new and exciting water pyrotechnics. Five-Star radio stations Q108, Z 97.5, The Eagle 94.3 and The Beaver 100.3 will also be broadcasting the soundtrack accompanying the fireworks show.

Parking and Road Closures
Guests are encouraged to park at the Austin Peay State University Dunn Center Parking lot. The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) will be available to provide transportation from 5:30 – 10:15 p.m. to transport guests to and from the designated parking area. Buses will drop off and pick up passengers at the boat ramp entrance on Riverside Drive. The last bus will depart from McGregor Park promptly at 10:15 p.m.
Both parking lots, the courtesy boat dock and the boat ramp at McGregor Park will be closed all day July 3, beginning at 7 a.m.
The two southbound lanes and the center turn lane of Riverside Drive will be closed in front of McGregor Park beginning at 3 p.m. on July 3 and only two-way traffic will be permitted from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
From 8:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. Riverside Drive will be closed to through traffic from College Street to 2nd Street. A detour map is available at the link below to ease any traffic concerns.
