Development is seeking proposals from interested corporations, The City of Clarksville Office of Housing and Community associations, agencies or religious organizations with non-profit status under the Internal Revenue Code (Section 501(c) (3), and government non-profits, i.e., public agencies, commissions or authorities, that are capable of providing comprehensive counseling services including foreclosure, mortgage assistance, and intervention services. All proposed activities must meet eligibility requirements as set forth by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

PUBLIC NOTICE A PUBLIC MEETING WILL BE HELD ON JANUARY 25, 2010 AT 6:00 PM
This notice is to inform interested persons that the City of Clarksville Office of Housing and Community Development is preparing a Substantial Amendment to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year (FY) 2009-2010. Since we are proposing “To make a change in its allocation priorities” therefore a Substantial Amendment is required under the Code of Federal Regulations; CFR 24, Part 91.505 A “substantial amendment” is defined as any proposed change in the use of HOME or CDBG funds that exceeds 15% of the total amount annually provided by HUD for each program. In addition, the following changes will be considered “substantial amendments" to the program requiring an opportunity for public comment: (1) To make a change in its allocation priorities or a change in the Citizens and groups may submit written and/or verbal comments on the Substantial Amendment during a 30 day public noticing period beginning January 25, 2010. Comments can also be made at the public meeting to be held on the matter January 25th. Comments received at the meetings or during the thirty (30) day comment period will be summarized and included in the report forwarded to HUD. This meeting is accessible to persons with disabilities. Persons requiring reasonable accommodations, including sign language interpreters, Assistive Listening Devices, print materials in alternate formats, should contact the Office of Housing and Community Development at 931-648-6133 at least 72 hours prior to the public hearing.
